Looks like payero to Boca

I'm sorry but if he left tomorrow I'd have no memories of him after a season. Cardiff away? That's about it.

Whatever we paid for him appears too much. Although an 18 month loan seems daft. I guess it pays his wages for the remainder of his contact.

A poor signing. I am convinced it wasn't warnock and Wilder didn't fancy him. So f*ck knows who bought him.
Kieron Scott surely.

To echo a couple of other posters, if he is going, it might not be the club/Wilder not rating him, giving up, wanting rid, needing the money etc. It might just be Payero wanting a move himself for any number of reasons, and if he wants to go then fair enough.

Or it actually could be the club/Wilder not rating him etc etc! It’s all speculation so no point in blaming anyone unless something officially becomes known.

Some fans do like to drum up a bit of drama don't they? Who of us really knows what the score is at the moment with the player and the club.

I think it would be good if he stays, yet if he goes I'll just shrug my shoulders and get on with the rest of day.

I’d like him to stay, there were flashes of quality and it can take time to settle. The Championship is a long season so if he avoided the bad luck of last season I’m sure he’d get some opportunities.

However, if he wants to go then it’s usually best to let an unsettled player leave, or, if it’s a club/management decision we have to trust they know what they’re doing. If he goes to Barca for £50 mil in a few years and we get nowt, maybe then we should have a good moan!

I think he’s talented, he just hasn’t had the chance to show it consistently. Seems to have a good attitude too, so I’d think it’s purely homesickness. He struggled when he first came, I think Crooks deserves a lot of credit for the effort he put into helping him settle.

Him going frees up a space in the squad for a player who will make an impact.
CW is getting rid of all the passengers, and Payero was one.

I’m not sure I’d call him a passenger. He regularly made the squad when fit and would certainly have been used more if it wasn’t for bad timing. Grant Hall was a passenger, barely in a squad under Wilder.

It’s a big turnover of players this year and with a long season to come we need depth and different options, Payero is a bit different and I think he’d be useful - but if he goes (and I won’t be overly bothered if he does) I’m sure Wilder can find a player to take his place and make an impact, like you say.

Shame it didn’t work out but if we’re being honest, apart from one game he was average to poor for us in his brief appearances. Warnock and now Wilder see him every day in training and neither of them fancied him, seems better to try and get some value from him rather than persisting with something that doesn’t fit/work.

problem is after 12 months of settling in we really need him to be starting games regularly - and will he? Can't see him starting over Crooks any time soon. He will be on decent wages, are they best spent on him or elsewhere? Feels like a bit of a luxury to keep him.

I think he's saying that he would have to consider any offers that come in but hasn't yet had any. Doesn't sound like he's committed to us.

I doubt if there's a professional football player anywhere, who during a transfer window, wouldn't at least consider offers if they came in.

And I reckon about 99% of players, no matter who they are or who they're with, would move if an offer were attractive enough. And that includes players at our club.

That's just the way the game is, nowadays.
