I can’t help but think we might’ve missed a trick here. I know he’s 32 but he’s scored shed loads of goals in this division before (unlike most of the strikers we’ve been linked with). I think he could’ve done a decent job for us and he already lives in the NE so wouldn’t have needed to locate,
.
But hey ho, onwards and upwards hopefully CW and Neil Bausor are working on someone better and younger. Here’s hoping.
 
If Stoke have picked up his wages with a 2 year contract we have to consider what could be done with that cash say £40k/week i.e. two younger strikers.

The Championship is not usually a league for 32/33 year old strikers, its a 46 game slong and needs a big squad.

When we lost out on Charlie Austin - some posters said we have missed out on a proven striker. He was just the type of striker we needed

CA is 3 months older than Dwight Gayle - last season CA scored 5 goals in 34 games.

CA when younger was prolific, in 2012/13 he scored 25 goals in 37 games for a very ordinary Burnley team. (11th in the Championship).
