Local lockdown

We’ve been in a local lockdown here in Bradford for longer than I can actually remember.
Only difference has been we’ve not been allowed visitors to our house, which given our circumstances wasn’t an option anyway. I think probably every other house on our street has broken this lockdown at some point.

Teesside doesn't exist but Stockton (and Darlington) isn't in "Co. Durham" like Middlesbrough isn't in North Yorkshire.

Honestly don't know

Stockton and Darlington are Unitory Authorities so don't come under the administration of Durham County Council. They would be listed seperately if they were to be included. They only come under Durham for ceremonial purposes.

The steady creep of 'local lockdowns' will surely look more like a 'national lockdown' if it continues?
Might end up donning my tin foil hat over this but I honestly think it's handy practice for keeping us obedient come the time of the real crisis - controlling the masses when riots, panic buying, food shortages etc become a lived reality early in the new year.

What makes you think that is going to happen?

Im not sure abvout this new bribe requirement mind - the police used to be satisfied with a monetary donation, and the smirking voyeur is a little offputting.
