Liverpool players send a powerful message.

good on them, thing is we can't do much about the racism in the USA, supporting them is obviously a good thing to do, but the yanks may be heading to another civil war. The black folks can and should only put up with it for so long. It has been almost 200 years since slavery was abolished, and the late 1960's when they were considered equal in law.

The place is a cesspit if you happen to be black.

Only if you choose to look at life in that way. Its not a cesspit. There are a lot worse countries in the world to be a minority.
I can assure you it's no fun here. My wife was a teacher and she says how she always felt so sorry for the little black boys and what they would have to grow up with.....

1 in 1000 black men will be killed by Police in the USA around 1 in 2800 white men will be killed by the US Police force, this figure alone does not give the full picture of institutionalised racism in Police and justice departments in America, racism is a stain on all humanity and we should stand up and criticise it in all its forms and I commend the stance the Liverpool players have made.

Rashan Charles ,Edson Da Costa. William Cameron ,Leroy Jnr Medford, Nuno Cardoso just some Black men who have died after being arrested into Police custody in Britain in the last 3 years.
Where were the people taking the knee for them. Where were the hundreds protesters in Trafalgar Square for them.

Only if you choose to look at life in that way. Its not a cesspit. There are a lot worse countries in the world to be a minority.
I can't see of any other way to look at a society riddled with racism. Yes there are worse places on earth, that doesn't excuse the way black people are dealt with by the country they were born into, citizens you might call them.

I will never forget a programme I watched where a professional black couple in the USA talked about having ‘that conversation’ with their bright articulate 14 year old son. I thought it was going to be about ‘the birds and the bees’ but they sat him down and talked about how he must never run if stopped by police and always speak politely and do whatever the police say even if they are racist, wrong, bullying and threatening. We can fix hurt they said but we can’t take a bullet out of your head. Really disturbing to watch.

Wow, how heartbreaking to say that to your own son, so sad
