LIONS selection

I've noticed The Times have been talking up Tuilagi a lot over the last few days. I reckon he's going to be given a wildcard. He could do some serious damage on the South African pitches.

100% for the same reason as Tuilagi. On hard, dry pitches pace and agility are everything and there aren't many in the world currently that have more than he does. The only thing i worry about is him getting bullied. He goes at the very least as an impact sub.

Agreed Farrell should not be travelling, he's done little to warrant a slot. Watson hasn't done enough although tbf he's had little ball in a white shirt this season and I've never been a Daly fan.
I would be very surprised if Farrell, Daly and Watson are not in that squad. Owen Farrell in particular has been an important person in the squad since 2013. His leadership alone gets him in the squad. Gatland knows that and will not leave him out.

Marcus Smith is thee best no.10 in the current Premiership.
What about the young Zammit, would you take him?

If LRZ does not go to South Africa, it will be one of sports biggest travesties. He was unplayable in the 6N and he is lightning. He is the Lion's answer to Cheslin Kolbe.

Don't expect Gatland to go off form. Most of the Gallagher Premiership form players are English and haven't had England caps. (Evans and Smith at Quins, Ludlow at Gloucester etc). Simmonds might travel but will be nowhere near the Test team, yet has the most tries this season.

Looks like no marler as he has tweeted saying he didn't receive an email for the training squad. Also, the telegraph are reporting that, as many expected, AWJ to captain. Also reporting a call up for Sam Simmonds.

We'll find out the selections today I suppose! Rees-Zammitt has to be in the squad for certain. The lad is outstanding and would rip defences to pieces.

Edit: It's being reported that Farrell, Daly and Watson all make the squad as I mentioned. Sam Simmonds to be included despite being snubbed by England (quite right too) and Luke Cowan-Dickie, Tom Curry and Maro Itoje there too.

It's almost like you don't know anything about any sport after your constant misunderstanding of F1.

Have you seen Marcus Smith play? The boy is electric. OK I have the same bias as Ugo but talk to anyone who understands the game.
Oh look Finn Russell picked over Marcus Smith.

Its almost like you don't know anything about any sport.

Talk to someone who understands the game. :D

I'd say I expected 80% of that team however there is definitely a few surprises in Bundee Aki, didn't think he had a great 6N and was sent off in the last game. Courtney Lawes, although this does make sense due to his versatility between second and back rows. Connor Murray I thought would be nowhere near it and after the rumblings of Danny Care being included, I'm a bit gutted with this choice. I actually think Murray might start the first test, dependant on Price and Davies performances in the warm ups and domestic games. Finally, inclusion of Jonny Hill and no James Ryan. I'm over the moon for Jonny but definitely thought his colleague at Exeter Jonny Gray may have been in with a better shout - maybe it was Hill's spiral into touch against Bristol that tipped it over! :D

If you don't think Marcus Smith is any good then you really haven't been paying attention. Lack of England time probably did for him
