Line of Duty (Possible spoilers inside, BEWARE!)

That photo at the end was “Nicola Rogerson”, trying to get Steve out of AC-12. Is she “Davidson’s” relation / sister?

Is the blood relative of Jo going to be Tommy Hunter the Scottish gangster from series 1?

Steve Arnott has got one hell of a shot when lying upside down in a crashed van, for a guy with a bad back and an addiction to painkillers.

Odd also that the bullets from the automatic weapons used by the ambushers couldn't penetrate the sides of the van. Also how lucky/unlucky that they had a sniper exactly where the van overturned.

It's just telly, if you start analysing too closely the illusion is shattered. Enjoy the ride this is building nicely.

LOL Im guessing it was armored or reinforced with Kevlar?

Oh and why would you compromise a van with bullet resistance by then opening a bloody great big door on the side Whilst still under heavy fire?

Made bloody good telly though. :)

Isn't the guy who has been garroted in prison the blood relation of Jo?
She looked pretty shaken up when she was told by Ryan that he had been killed in prison - wasn't this a warning because she had said she needed out?

The match has come out as its a DNA reference sample on the system (ie another officer) Or thats how they seemed to be talking last night...

My money is on John Corbett from last series....

This also fits with the photo in her flat of her and her "mum"

A great episode and cliff hanger👏

I had already watched them all but binged all 5 series over 3 weeks again prior to this series starting. It's definitely helped. Especially as this has gone right back to series 1.

I have a sneaky feeling this could be the last series. They seem to be tying up long standing 'threads' and AC12 being closed down and everyone appears to be going separate ways (Steve back to anti terrorism).

They are yet to announce its been picked up again. That said being the only program on the BBC I watch and over 7mil people watching it they would be mad to cancel.

I’m sure that Steve said that the DNA match was on the criminal database, he also used the word “He” it has to be Tommy Hunter doesn’t it?

Ah you maybe right... thats my only gripe with the show... sometimes they are talking quietly and you can't make out what they said.

I agree. I've seen on a few line of duty forums and fan theory things that say it's worth watching with subtitles on as it highlights things you don't here (not that I would).

I've seen sceen shots of the subtitle text and it definitely says 'he'.

Could be Corbett, he was deleted off the police database as working undercover. The photo in episode 1 could be corbetts mother

Yes, looking at it again it could be a young Joanne. If she is related to Corbett though, could she also be related to Hastings as Corbett was rumoured to be Hastings son?!
