Line of Duty (Possible spoilers inside, BEWARE!)

Good to see Terry back, but the years of abuse he`s had at the hands of the OCG are showing.

He`s seen so much but unable to tell anyone about it now :(

and now framed for murder

I’ve said for a while H is Arnott’s old boss in series one in the Counter Terrorism squad, Osborne, played by Owen Teale.

This is what the QR code from the trailer gave you.

More acronyms than an acronym convention. WTF?? I’m glad they told us what a CHIS was at the end . I got the idea it was an informant.

The issue I have is that you probably need a refresher before a new series. You forget the ins and outs of the last 10 years.

I was looking online today and various people picked up on things that linked last nights episode to one's in the past. I simply never noticed😂 (printing shop on the estate from last series etc)

I find it helps if you watch the episode (ovoid spoilers) then go on twitter and people show the 'omg moments' that I usually miss.

I thought it was a really good first episode. Absolutely no idea who's good or bad. No doubt some real twists and probably high profile deaths to come.

And he took photo's of the AC-12 officers when they raided the Print Shop in series 5.

Here's my theory - the Kelly McDonald character is being blackmailed by the OCG to root out informants and snuff out any police operations to arrest suspects. That poor lad gets shuffled around from safe house to safe house as another bit of diversionary bait for police

If you want a quick fix of Jed Mercurio's writing without having to wait a week between episodes catch up on "Bloodlands" which is still on BBC iPlayer for 11 months. Excellent.

Last night's LoD was a great opener.

I love LoD but thought the acting in last night's episode was dreaful. I don't know if it was because they were having to film with Covid restrictions in place but it was a bit odd in places. Good episode to start the new series though.

Won't lie, I've loved the whole programme but I thought this episode was rubbish.

It usually heats up as the series progresses, but it just did not grab my attention at all today.

Not even when DCI Buckells made an appearance, with a set of golf clubs in his office?

Nah, it did nothing for me.

But I'll be definitely in the minority in that I think it's been dragged out too long as a programme, or at least the overarching OCG plot has.

I'll still be watching every episode though.

Anyone else getting Jill Dando vibes after last night's episode?

Murdered reporter.
Jimmy Saville mentioned.
