Lighthearted Sunday dinner question...

I dboth, but only tend to have the roasties. However, if I fancy it, I stick butter in, but when doing for everyone else I withhold the butter by request.

A genuine Sunday dinner is roast potatoes. Buttery mash is nice now and again alongside the roasties but if you want the proper Sunday dinner experience roasties are the only way to go. Today my roasties are accompanied by roast leeks, roast parsnips, roast carrots, buttery cabbage, broccoli two lovely crisp Yorkshire pudds and thick proper gravy made with the juices from the beautiful roast beef that takes centre stage on the oversized plate. Mrs Duffman makes an amazing Sunday dinner.

I'm sure most of these dinners just get their photo took from a few angles posted on FB , insta, influencers 'r' us sites , look at 'me' and my lunch sites, then get chucked in the bin or given to the dog at best. I don't believe a Gen Z has ever eaten a Sunday lunch. The lunch is exploited as a 'content'

Champ. If it's with beef, cheesy champ.

Mashed pots plus cream and spring onions with lots of butter. You may want to book a slot in James Cook Cardiac Unit...

Roasties, cooked in olive oil and fresh thyme and loads of salt. Roasted for an hour and three quarter (after parboiling) turning and basting frequently.
Parsnips roasted for 1hr 15, in peppered olive oil, dusted in curry powder and smothered with parmesano.

Mash is for the toothless, but can be provided, using butter, cheddar, cream, garlic and black pepper
