Lightening strikes twice

How many people, other than Boro or Norwich supporters, could tell you it's two in two days? A handful at best. Chances are it happens most weeks somewhere or other, but doesn't get reported as it's not in the Premier League.

The slips do happen every now and then, it's just rare that the ball still goes in the net and even rarer that the referee then disallows it.

Try to find another though.
That's the only example I could find last night before ours.
Thing is, that penalty is the same as Bolo's at Cardiff. Once seen on TV and replayed it can clearly be seen that the ball hit the other foot and deflected.
I've lost count of the times I've tried to see the ball deflect yesterday but i still dont see it. So how the ref did, nearing in mind he was actuall stood to the side is beyond me.

See Danny Murphy's analysis on MOTD. He highlights the problem of the angle of the run up - Tav did the same!

It really shouldn't happen. I know they slip and it's an accident. That said you shouldn't even give the ref a decision to make.

Just stick the fecker in👍

Yesterday's and Bolos were pretty obvious. Tavs was only just and I don't overly think it changed trajectory of the ball (that said I can't overly workout were he was trying to put it but looks down the middle)

I still cannot see a double hit on Tav's effort.
Possibly the ref was just being zealous because of his Teesside connections and Boro suffered.
