He has that long term foot injury, plantar fasciitis. Obviously he's not a100% fit and whether he ever returns to full fitness is debatable.
Went through my mind also.Might be my eyes deceiving me, or it could be the horrendous kits, but he’s looked heavier the last couple of times I’ve seen him.
Hmmm....Not sure I fully agree with you on him not being suited to a wide left position. Before his injury at away to West Brom he was a star man in that 0-1 victory. Defended well and protected the full back by working hard.I fully agree. He's looked absolutely off the pace since returning from injury.
I'm not sure if we are playing to his strengths? I feel he's another ' round peg square hole '. I don't think he suits the wide left position.
I was actually really surprised when they announced he'd signed a new deal. I was never convinced he was first choice under Carrick. Also more so due to his injury record. To throw such a big contract at someone so injury prone seemed odd. Forss would be similar.
That said it's maybe a bit harsh. The whole team is struggling. Only really Azaz / Doak and LL are in any kind of form. The fact we could lose 2 of them is even more worrying.
Which is why it's strange that we extended his contract for such lengthy period. He has that long term foot injury, plantar fasciitis. Obviously he's not a100% fit and whether he ever returns to full fitness is debatable.

4 years on presumably very decent money.
what i make of it is that he didn't want to leave and you've made that bit up.McGree wanted to leave and all of sudden signed a long term contract, make of that what you will.
why make up these imaginary theories? it's a little bit odd.Might be a bit of a reach, but he hasn't looked happy since he went to the World Cup, then that peculiar period where he just couldn't get a game for us despite being fit. I did wonder if he thought he was too big for us.
Does anyone really need to put pressure on Burgzorg. He's bad enough for the tea lady to be replacing himI’m not sure he’s fully fit. I hope yesterday got him so much needed minutes but he hardly put pressure on Burgzorg for the Portsmouth game!
We are gradually replacing solid players with those we choose to take a punt with and play them too long until it's too late.Yes I think so. We’ve persevered enough. If we can get a decent deal we should take it. Might do him some good too as he’s heart hasn’t been in it the last couple of seasons.
McGree is arguably the best footballer in the division.
In terms of technical ability he's definitely one of the best in my opinion.Give over, he’s not even close.
Can’t people just have a bit of discussion about the situation without you fancying going in with your studs showing ?This thread is hilarious.
So many people, with so many theories about McGree.
Think a lot of them are the people who said "he will definitely leave in the summer - clearly wants to leave" last year.
He signed a new contract - started the season well - then got injured.
Has not yet refound his form since returning from injury and his backup had a couple of really good games.
Think he will refind his form personally.
