Let’s not forget how far we have come

I agree the outcome has given us the same result as under Pulis but lets not forget Carrick is a young manager and will have learned alot from this season, for me its been clear at times hlwe have been tactically beat by teams and thats not to say carrick is wrong either, its shown him that some of this swuad is not good enough in the big games to produce what carrick wants so changes will be made.

We looked a shattered and broken squad in October due to whatever happened with Wilder, Carrick and his team come in and re built relatiinships and got the team playing some exceptional football, scoring outrageous goals but yet in the end the players we had available just couldnt step up to the occassions when required, meaning things/players will need to change and we need to bring in better and that goes for whoever that maybe Loans some of which I know we would like again bit will carrick and recruitment look elsewhere as they didnt deliver when required, who knows.

This season has definately had its highs and lows but I am proud of what we achieved this season amd think the management team and recruitment could be the best weve had for years, lets get some players moved out and brought in early doors so we can perfect carricks plan A and have a real go again, we know we ave flaws and areas to improve but that was Carricks first season in management and front what ive seen it will only get better for us with some good recruitment.

Lets be proud of what was a brilliant season

Looking back at the season if we went up playing this system we would be hammered every week so maybe for the best a reset now steffan has gone if carrick knows how to change it.

Watched the 2nd half of Brentford vs Spurs today and it reminded me that we comprehensively beat them in the play off semi-finals less than 10 years ago.
They now look reasonably established at PL level primarily based on excellent recruitment and good young managers.
I understand its easier/cheaper for London clubs to recruit, but for once we feel closely aligned to this model.
