I love the bloke. I hope he is at the Club for a very long time.
I don't think anybody expects him to be appointed as new Manager, or Head Coach.
 
Can’t help but love the man. I hope he has one game in charge, we smash Birmingham and he goes down in the history books with a 100% win record!
I honestly think we’ll turn it on tomorrow. If, as rumoured, the players really didn’t like Wilder, I’m sure they’ll show it tomorrow in the best way possible.

I expect the reactions on here might be different if that speech came on the back of a terrible run of form with him in charge.

I do hope he leads us to a win tomorrow night, and I'm sure he'll get a great reaction from the fans when he steps in to the dugout.
Hopefully we can get another inspiring speech afterwards, but it takes more than rhetoric to manage.

People got resentful of things they initially found charming with previous managers when it stopped going well.
 
Passion alone won't carry you over a full season without the tactical nous to back it up, but it can give you a short term lift which might be all we need right now. And who's to say he doesn't have the tactics, one things for sure Brum won't have any idea what to expect tomorrow night.
 
He has a heart of a lion and he genuinely connects with the fans which is raw.see what I did there.

He’s worked with Karanka, shadowed Woodgate, Warnock and Wilder.

Give me the pragmatism of Karanka, hope of Woodgate and the passion of Warnock!
 
On a side note i wonder what the general situaton is with Leo and MFC.

I almost get the feeling that its a "job for life" agreement between him and gibbo. Or until Leo decides to call it a day.

I think from Gibbos point of view, a mixture of his love for the club, the fans affection for him, and the personal tragedy he's going through means that Gibbo just wants him around the place however long he wants to be.

Well tbf Wilder was famous for his tactics until he disappeared up his own jacksie.
