Luke is undoubtedly one of the club's greatest ever value signings at £200,000 from Bristol City in 2016, let alone one of the most popular in modern memory.

Amassing over 250 club appearances having made the right-back slot his own since 2016, he became an integral part of Leeds' Championship-winning title season in 2019/20 whilst blossoming under the leadership of Marcelo Bielsa.

Alongside his legendary 'flops' and iconic goal celebrations, he gave us so many brilliant moments to cherish.

Very happy with that. He'll definitely improve the first team

But what to do with RVB? For me Clarke and Fry still stay centre defence for now. But I like how RVB is progressing and it'd be a shame to curtail that.
I'm sure MC will figure it out 🤷‍♀️:)

I hope you had a shower after going on a Leeds site Jedi

I'm friends with a Leeds fan (don't judge me) and they sent a few messages when it was announced.

"Love him he is brilliant
He is a team player
Good allrounder
Great bloke
Tears to see him go"

Hopefully in some games we may play or change in play to three at the back and they’ll all be on the pitch together.

I was thinking the same thing - it's the first time in a long time we have genuine competition in multiple positions.

If everyone is fit... Ayling probably claims the RB/RCB spot this season, but if he signs for another year (Smith did), he'll be competing with Smith.

Fry/Clarke/RVDB have all made a claim to start. Lenihan will also be back next season (I assume McNair will be leaving or he'd be in the mix too).
Engel probably claims LB (in my opinion) but Bangura isn't too far behind.
Howson/Barlasar/Hackney and O'Brien are all capable of starting at CDM.
Jones/Forss
then 2 positions for... Rogers/Azaz/McGree/Greenwood/Crooks/Silvera

Surely a striker is the final piece of the puzzle?
