Leeds- high, fast pressing and little else

Could well get found out this season, such a shame. Play a fast passing game against them and they look distinctly ordinary.

I posted yesterday.... Its either genius or madness. They just don't care about defending.

That alone will be enough to keep them up. I know Leeds fans won't agree but just staying mid table is an 'achievement'. Also they will do that playing attacking football. You'd take that as a fan.

Better than watching Burnley play of 1-0 or 0-0 every week😂

And better than watching whatever it is the Boro are up to at the moment!

I'd like to think they will be this season's Sheffield Utd: a novelty act that does well for one season, before the rest of the league adapts to playing against them.

However, I'd say they've had a harder than average set of fixtures to start the season, and probably will pick up.
That said, I'd cheerfully stop the PL season now and relegate them and the Geordies.

Liam Cooper is awful in the Premier League and is a liability for them but also their captain. Unless they change this and replace him they are going to struggle at the back.

Mid-table for anyone outside of the wealthiest six IS an achievement, IMO. It's a bloody long hard slog if you lose two or three and find yourselves down the bottom when we get into November time. You have West Ham and Everton behind Leicester, that's the top nine positions all but done and dusted before a ball is kicked. Aston Villa are spending, Wolves have been good since they went up. Where does anyone seriously expect Leeds to be finishing?

Leeds haven't been anywhere near the bottom since they got back into the division. That is a very good achievement, IMO. They were comprehensively beaten by Liverpool at the weekend and have lost at Old Trafford. You'd expect them to lose those games 8 or 9 times out of ten. They might pick up the odd win or draw against those teams here and there but the sheer scale of the resources involved will always catch up with you. I think that's where an innovative coach and/or recruitment team come in and it looks like Leeds have got at least one of those. That's how you try and bridge the gap between those who have more money to play with and can essentially buy their way out of trouble.

If only they'd adopt our tried and trusted PL formation from 16/17.
