Lee Johnson

Had to happen, I think.

He's had them in the play-offs for most of the season and then blown it for the past 3-4 seasons in a row.
He's been given a huge amount of time.

I'll have him here next season.

Done well everywhere he's been. Best players sold in the past couple of seasons for a fair amount - Kelly, Reid, Brownhill, Webster, Bryan, Pack, plus sold us Flint for £6,999,999 above his true value.

Given Gibbo's reluctance to approach anyone in a job, might be a good chance of brining him in regardless of the division we are in.

Has he?

He stopped Oldham getting relegated to League Two and then nothing, did nothing at Barnsley and ultimately did nothing at Bristol City.

Pulis did better than him, whilst also selling his best players, and was absolutely slaughtered for it.

Wasn't his dad the previous manager?

Did Bristol City also have Boro old boy Terry Cooper & later his son manage them?

When were BC last in the top flight? Pulis bought Flint, Savill, McNair for 7, 7 and 5 m respectively. He had no choice with Traore, but the sale of Bamford after the play-offs when he didn't play him was stupendous.

Look at how much income BC have generated. Sold us ee-aw for £7m, bought Webster for £5m and quadrupled their money in a year.

Improves players, turns a profit, brings youunger players through. Great opportunity for coach and club if you ask me.

Bristol City have always impressed me with their style of play and got a shock when I saw this. They have managed to produce some decent players or improved their game whilst on loan with them. He certainly got a lot more out of Flint than we could.

Depends what you want.
Better than Woodgate - oh most definately (don’t think he’d appreciate that as his legacy though’
Had several opportunities to get a side promoted and failed

Everyone see things in a different way but I think he’s done a decent job wherever he has been but seems to have unusual streaks of wins and loses, I guess some of the failings in the latter parts of seasons could be done to working with smaller squads than others and the reliance on loan players who perhaps aren’t as committed as others, but you can’t argue that he has a very good record of spotting and developing talent, he could be the type of manager that fits Gibson’s vision of what we need going forward he has left the 3 clubs he has managed in better league and financial positions than when he took over.

Maybe not the big or sexy name manager that some fans would like but certainly competent working within the parameters he has previously faced, could just be the right fit for us next season and his open attacking style of football is certainly something that fans here have been long denied.

Yes I agree, looking at Bristol City over the past few seasons his, teams have done well in the league, don't know how long he's been there exactly but they've done well while we've been in the championship
