Lee Johnson

Lee Johnson, the Cowley brothers, were recommended to us. But alas only by one particular, know it all poster.

Who put a pound in you? Still trying to pretend you are the only fan who goes to the Games? You like that line don’t you. Bet it makes you feel really big and proud of yourself. Big old barnsy

No. That's for other people to peddle. I've got sufficient to be proud of thanks. How about you?

Very proud. Why the dig at me because I have an opinion on Sunderlands potential new manager? Haven’t said anything bad on this thread to anyone previous to your post so no need for your cocky remarks

Why do you think my remarks were aimed at you?
They weren't by the way.

Well they seemed that way. Who were they aimed at then?

It was aimed at the poster who seemed to adore the Cowley brothers believe it or not.

If they 'seemed that way' you could have asked for clarification 😃🤔. Better than going off on one.😃

Fair enough. Sorry, MV slightly riled me by telling me to calm down when I was perfectly calm. Then I took the frustration out on you.

It amazes me how an established league 1 (division 3) club can turn their noses up at an established Championship manager in Lee Johnson. Looking at their board, this very same established league 1 (division 3) club also believe the Cowleys, Paul Cook etc are not good enough for them. Their preference seemed to be Poyet (as he 'got the club' apparently), or Eddie Howe. They believe this supposed takeover (fakeover?) by a Russian widow and her playboy son will deliver this. Jeremy Beadle's got to be lurking about somewhere behind the scenes. ;)

I'd definitely be going balls out for Paul Cook. He can work on a small budget and recently got out of league 1.
Yeah cook would be a great choice . Most of their fans turning their nose up at him aswell. Not sure who are they expecting to come to a league 1 club

I think they are holding out for Pep to get the boot at Man City.

Reading their board they just seem to want a name ‘ as soon as it was announced Vieira was sacked from Nice a few of their fans were saying they would take him. Strange in my opinion

To be fair: Lee Johnson did a good job at Bristol City given the resources at his disposal.
It appears he had reached a stage where he had gone as far as he could and a fresh approach was needed to shake up the team.
Sunderland need a muck an nettles Manager with experience - someone prepared to [dare I say it] DO A WARNOCK!
"Big" names arent the answer in the new normal.
Sunderland chucked money away in the past and it ended up in a disaster.
We know, dont we, what chucking money does to a club in the medium and long term.
I wish them luck.

Their fans, like any others, deserve success - just so long as we beat them every time we play them
