Lee Johnson

To be fair: Lee Johnson did a good job at Bristol City given the resources at his disposal.
It appears he had reached a stage where he had gone as far as he could and a fresh approach was needed to shake up the team.
Sunderland need a muck an nettles Manager with experience - someone prepared to [dare I say it] DO A WARNOCK!
"Big" names arent the answer in the new normal.
Sunderland chucked money away in the past and it ended up in a disaster.
We know, dont we, what chucking money does to a club in the medium and long term.
I wish them luck.

Their fans, like any others, deserve success - just so long as we beat them every time we play them

I really don’t see it with Johnson. See if he can prove me wrong with Sunderland! I hope he doesn’t!

Yeah cook would be a great choice . Most of their fans turning their nose up at him aswell. Not sure who are they expecting to come to a league 1 club
If NW walked out tomorrow, I'd gladly have Cook here.

I never understood the appeal of Johnson, even when some on here wanted him. I think it's wrong to say he had a small budget; he was fairly well backed by championship standards but, correct me if I'm wrong, never made the play offs. Sunderland would have done better with his dad.

I think it’s a decent appointment and the money he got at Bristol City was, in the main, money he generated himself through transfers, he has left all three clubs he has managed in a better position than when he took over and will be a competent manager at a club that has under achieved over a sustained period of time, it’s a great job for a young manager as the potential there is massive.

I agree it’s a good job for him. Not sure it’s the right appointment for them though. I hope i am right aswell because I want them in league 1 for as long as possible. He can no worse than Parkinson though, that’s for sure

I can't remember Curtis Fleming ever playing alongside Stuani

Can't see why they got rid of Parkinson tbh, similar meltdown to the one they had over Grayson. Both decent managers at their level and neither given the time to build their own team.

They’ve already started slating him

any financial advantage they had will be disappearing by the season.

They have already lost it as they agreed to pay pay ellis short the parachute payments as part of his leave settlement. - this told to me from a Sunlun fan by the way.

Lost his first game in charge to bottom of the table Wigan.

Long may it continue.

I'm aware he's had less than day with them, but still funny.
