He was a scab.

He probably would have been and his dad, as a Nottingham miner, is statistically likely to have been, but although 30p Lee worked in the mines for 10 years, he was born in 1967 and the strike was 1984-5. He says he didn't start work there until after the strike and that's probably true as he went to technical college before becomng a miner.
