Least favourite Cities in the UK

What I have observed in the last 40 years is that Towns like Middlesbrough and Doncaster have gone down hill, while London in general has gentrified - the West London of the Clash no longer exists, its mainly middle class now.

Coventry
Peterborough
Sandwell ( not a city but a metropolitan borough)

Sorry to posters who live in these places and may have seen another side of them but I feel they are grim with no appealing feature.
I'd have to agree with Sandwell (West Brom country).... Although not a city.... Having worked there for the last four months..... It is simply beyond grim :(

most hate, in all forms, stems from a level of ignorance

(yes, I've been chilling in the garden and turned into a hippy)

I’ve never felt unsafe walking round Boro, and that’s even at night.
To go back to my original post, if I walk through Doncaster Centre (after 5pm especially) I’m always watching my back.

It’s all day, mate. I’m currently living in a village in the Doncaster area and last Sunday I went into the Frenchgate Centre and outside the front there were spiceheads everywhere. My 8 year old son was constantly pointing out the people who were zoned-out and slouched over on benches and asking why they were ‘sleeping’ in the middle of the day.
