League one is a sink

There will be no easy way out of that division, however, I think that we might have just about enough quality to do it.
I presume there would be a mass exodus which might not be a bad thing

I wasn't being that serious but don’t really know what you mean by that comment. League one = division 3 its still tier 3 football.

That said this team will not get us back up in my opinion. I do not see a group of players at the Club capable at the moment.

The first time we went down, Stan Anderson was appointed too late to save us. It was his team, with the addition of Bobby Murdoch that took us to Division 1 under big Jack.

I'd like to think Djiksteel, Bola and Browne could end up being important players for us, as they're proven playing at that level.

I reckon Fletcher would score goals at that level, and it would be brilliant if we could keep Coulson, Spence and Tav but I know it would be unlikely.

Thing is, too, we don't even know what form League One will take next season. There's been talk of regional leagues, shortened seasons. There'll be little money to spend... every club will want to take the scalp of the 'big' club. There is no Rioch; no Pally, Mowbray, Slaven, Hamilton etc. I am really worried I have to say.

and all of that just to get us back to where we are - nevermind building a team from the prem

League one is awful, any decent prospects will be gone, most of our players are out of contract and we will have no money to replace them.
Arguably Sunderland we’re in a stronger position starting in league one than we will be. And they are still in three seasons later

Wolves, Leicester, Leeds, Forest, Wigan, Barnsley, Norwich, Southampton, Sheff United, Sheff Wednesday, Rotherham, Millwall, Charlton

All teams who have been in relegated to L1 and come back up in recent years? Could go either way really. Some of the teams mentioned performed a couple of back-to-back promotions... look at Wolves/Sheff United now.
