Last Season/This Season

Spooky. Shame Burnley and Sheff Utd are so far ahead. If we keep up our good form, we can get closer but too big a gap, especially as they both keep winning (there are enough rubbish teams in the champo that you can win without playing too well). Big difference between last year and this year, as pointed out above, is that we are scoring more, which has been a perennial problem for ages. Play-offs here we come. Could be a strong play-off line up this year - Watford, Boro, West Brom, and Norwich.
I remember when we played Blackburn at Ewood in January last season and them beating us put them 10 points ahead. I said at the time that was the chance at the autos gone because they were too far ahead. We managed to overtake them but only because they were terrible for the rest of the season and we both missed the playoffs.

There is no way that Burnley, Sheff Utd, Boro and WBA can all continue their excellent form. We would need to maintain it for the rest of the season to have a chance though so I really can't see it happening, or even being close. I'm still not even convinced we'll make the playoffs. We're in the driving seat now but 3 or 4 games without a win and we could be in the bottom half.

This season we have played more away games than home games so far. Was that true last season

This season no cup run to distract us.

We did not strengthen overall for me in January 2022 - our second half points were no higher than first half of the season points?

I agree we can't continue winning 7 from 8.

33 more points from 19 games gives 75 points - normally enough for 6th.

Obviously the players were brought in to suit Our previous mangers style of play last season..

Wing - McGree
Hernandez - Balogun
Uche - Connolly
Browne - Boyd-Munce
Coulson - Taylor

a similar level of transfers would be nice to see, two prem strikers in on loan, and international midfielder, a bargain ‘moneyball’ midfielder from the championship and an out of contract defender

Luongo - Ardon Jashari
Muniz - Cameron Archer
Hoppe - Joe Gelhardt?
Malley - Dan Barlaser
Dodds - Charlie Cresswell?
