Last Minute Deals on Transfer Deadline Day….

Unless we have rumours about transfers at this point in time due to players being spotted turning up for medicals, then we can only expect last minute deals without the medical and that is a big risk for any club

That’s it your not just shopping in the bargain bin anymore your now in the dumpster bins around the back.

The reality is that we would probably panic buy something like gestede or fletcher at this point. Better we dont do anything.

I see Billing hasnt got his game for bmuff recently. Try him?

I honestly can’t believe that we signed 2 unknown development strikers for 2 or 3 million each rather than increase our bid by 1 or 2 million for the striker that we really wanted (and needed), it’s crazy
we obviously don't want to overspend on a player, leaving us up the creak for 6 years like Assombalonga did. I'd rather we got 6-9 potential great players for 3m than panic buy and overpay

Do we all remember saying “we must have a plan” and hoping we would be UNtypical boro. Well I’m just waiting for the “we tried to sign players but they didn’t work out” line of dialogue from the club.
Yip and then the gazette headlines something like this "Middlesbrough tried to make a break through but couldn't quite get the deals over the line for various reasons, but it's only a few months until the January window, with a break in-between for the World Cup, we made 10 signings and strengthened critical positions in Wilders favoured system"

Wilder won't be able to play his favoured system if we get many injuries McNair for one is going to be stuck in midfield for the foreseeable

That's not necessarily a bad thing. I'm still not convinced we have the players to play it anyway.

Those 2 breaks in play before the end of year will be welcomed.
Lack of midfield depth our biggest concern now for sure. Might have to resort to free agent market to fill.
Hopefully playing 2 up front again starting Monday. Chuba‘s return after international break at end of September can‘t come soon enough.

McNair in midfield 🫤 he’s a liability there, which is why he ended up in defence, we’d have to be desperate to play him there regularly - oh hang on ……… 😵‍💫
