I don't know what he's like as a player but we don't need someone coming in already injured. If he's not expected to play until September he won't be match fit for months.
Tommy won't be fit and God knows what Strelec will be like.

Hull don't need to sell now they have raised the cash required.

Why not just take him on loan with a compulsory purchase if we are promoted. He is unlikely to play in the Premier League for Hull next season.

If he can't play for us due to injury we don't pay any wages.

This is redolent of Seth Johnson nearly signing for us although I doubt Joseph's injury would be as nasty as Johnson's. I think I recall someone said his knee was like a jigsaw.

I’m not so sure. It was taking our chances that was the problem, not creating them. Conway was one of the main culprits.

Work rate is the bare minimum.

Yeah but we didn't have quality back ups. You need a couple of players for each position who are up to the job and can be rotated etc. The club will know we need to be more clinical, they'll be looking to bring in another striker.
Work rate was probably the wrong term, we needed more players with the physicality need to do what Hellberg wants. If we effectively replace Burgzorg with someone who gets maybe 10 goals then that's a massive improvement

I’m guessing Hull have upped their demands now they’re clear of the PSR deadline and know we have the Hackney money.

Must say now I realise he's had 2 operations in 12 months I'm glad about this. Was ok with it at first cos he's a decent squad option but it's too much money for someone who's not come in fighting fit.

I think we've done the right thing.
