Kitchen Worktops

I'm looking at replacing the worktops in the kitchen. Can anybody recommend a reliable kitchen fitter.
If anyone has had any work done recently and can recommend someone, or maybe anyone to avoid.

Thanks in advance.

I am not in your area, but own a kitchen showroom. Where are you buying the worktops from ? Can they recommend a fitter ?

You will find the best ones are booked up for months. Even though worktops depending upon the size of the kitchen are not a big job.
Are there any trade pages on Facebook where you can advertise for fitters.

I was looking at buying the tops from Dean Parker on Skippers Lane. The sales woman could not recommend a fitter, which i thought was a bit strange.
I've been in contact with DLS Joinery for a quote on fitting them.

After been let down repeatedly by roofers over the weekend a mate of mine told me to download an app called Rated People. You basically post a job on there, a small description of what work you want doing, a rough budget and then prospective tradespeople bid on the job and get in touch with you.
I used it this morning and had 3 phone calls within 10 minutes. Got a guy coming round first thing in the morning.

Might be worth a shot, I'm led to believe that it costs tradespeople to bid on a job so your more likely to get top tradespeople in return.

Rated people is good- also if you just google kitchen fitters or joiners you will get a link to local tradespeople.

Never heard of that app, I'll give it a try.
Thanks
