Kike

He scored the goal at Man City that was epic memory

He did, I went mad when he scored it, brilliantly set up by Bamford if memory serves me right. There were plenty of games where he was very average though
He gave 110% every week and scored some good/crucial goals.

I don’t dispute he gave his best and was a trier, but imho his best wasn’t always good enough. His lack of pace was my biggest issue. Stuani was a far better finisher for me.

I am not saying he was awful or anything, far from it, just never understood the way some fans had/have this rose tinted view of him being a cult hero.

I agree, he hardly set the world alight & hasn’t been that prolific since leaving, stuani I can understand as he hit excellent form upon leaving here but kike would be an odd move.

It was Stuani that used to get booed, not Kike. I always liked both of them, I found it very strange at the time.
I think it was his selection that was booed as opposed to the player. I can't remember why, was it seen as a negative selection?
I remember before the game against Brighton there was disappointment and surprise that he was in the team. Who was the alternative we wanted? Was it Rhodes?
