A good and interesting read.

Think we have made a really good football decision in bringing in Scott. Sounds like a large part of the decision to get rid of Warnock was his which is good to know he doesn’t accept rubbish. Super appointment in Wilder too.

Cheers Diego, a good read.

He's nowhere near the initial scouting it seems which I found interesting. His comments below about Warnock sound pretty telling too and mirrors what most on here thought with a few notable exceptions......

"I’d witnessed what was going on, on the pitch and on the training ground, and by the end I think there was just an acceptance that it needed new blood and new energy"

That bit stands out doesn’t it

I was happy when I found out he’d Been part of the scouting for buendia as he was a great find.

I’m guessing it isn’t his wife constantly ringing him to bring home some milk for tea.

He must have agents constantly phoning him with this player or that player. When a club is seen to be doing well it’s nice to know that players (and their representatives) all of a sudden want to get involved and have a piece of the action.

Probably Warnock setting up prank pizza deliveries.

Interesting read.

The point about continuity is good to hear. For me that's one of the main benefits of a DoF/HoF role. Managers and players will change but there needs to be a constant in order to avoid unnecessary turnover of players and ultimately wasting money (Garry Monk to Tony Pulis anyone!?)

Delighted with Wilder's appointment but I'd keen to know who else made the shortlist. Presumably there's a succession plan when Rangnick is shown the door and Utd appoint Wilder following the FA cup tie? ;)

Gareth Southgate, English, outstanding centre half, - appointed manager June 2006

Jonathan Woodgate, English, outstanding centre half, - appointed manager June 2019

Dael Fry, English, outstanding centre half, - appointed manager .............................?

Can see Paddy McNair going into management.

It's good to hear from Scott that we've got a structure in place and a long term plan.
