Kieffer Moore or Assombalonga?

Yeah I’ve just started a thread on him too, I too thought he was good. A constant threat and just a sheer presence. He will cause problems for any team in this league.

anyone but Assombalonga.

He is a big useless lump, and to cap it all he can't even kick it properly. He either skies it out of the park or scuffs it 10 yards left of the goal.

Just want Britt of our wage bill and away.
After Alves didn't think we'd ever make the same 'big money' mistake again.
Then again, there always seem to be bigger risks in the forwards market.

Any hope of signing someone who can play a loan strikers role is nothing more than a pipe dream as far as we're concerned.

I'm glad we didn't sign him. Can you imagine the problems we'd have trying to spell his Christian name??!!
You're right there, think he'd be getting Keith O'Moore from a few. Always smile at how indignant folk get about 'Middlesborough' but they can't be @rsed to spell people's names right, Bentinelli, Chupa Akbom ........ the list goes on ......... 😊
Edit: MV you naughty lad, never noticed his name is wrong in the thread title. In my defence I have just woken up.

I'll let you off Mr Runner, but don't let it happen again... :ROFLMAO::p

As soon as Assombalonga came on we we conceded too much possession and ended up under pressure because hes incapable of keeping the ball and winning headers his movement was poor also. Been pretty much the same story since he arrived if he plays on his own up top we struggle as he is not good enough to do it. Moore played the role well yesterday he caused us problems all night winning the ball and looked dangerous when he got it down with good feet and some strikes that went close. We were lucky that Fry played so well against him to keep him off the scoresheet.

Overall I would still say Britt, but Moore is better value abd suits sole striker role.

I agree with most of the point about Britt but he is is still a decent finisher and that's very important in his position.

I don't agree that wew were under the cosh went Britt came on - I thought we had more chances later in the game.

Can you let us know how you feel Akpom played, seeing as apparently everything changed when he came off?

While he's not my favourite player or least favourite I just don't see why people just see everything in a negative light about Assombalonga - like most players he has good and bad games
I try and be objective with all players
He's worked hard early season and done ok, but was poor in our last home game, and couldn't have complained if he was subbed even if not injured

Akpom has started well for us, but I didn't think he was great yesterday - and missed a couple of chances on Tuesday

Fletcher was poor in our opening league games, but I'm hoping he comes back fired up in the run in

As for Moore his goals per game record is less than Britt I believe, but he was a real handful yesterday - and created their goal

Akpom didn't do anything. Barely touched the ball. Britt got on the ball and got a shot in. Tav put in a few great balls and neither got on the end of one. In fact the closest to connecting was Spence.

Before the yellow card Moore was a handful — Nonetheless how well did Dael handle the big fella? — I thought Fry had another excellent game and seems to have struck up a good partnership with Djksteel. Anyone know when Grant Hall is back?

We lost the control we had on the game when Britt came on IMO. With Akpom he forces cardiff to drop deeper as he has pace and he also is a much more physical threat when challenging defenders making it harder for them to clear meaning you pick up more second balls he works hard and closes down and in all of the previous games hes been more of a threat in the box than britt. It was noticable how much more pressure we were under since Britt came on as cardiff could squeeze us more playing a higher line due to his lack of pace and he didnt lead line well for me and his runs dont cause problems it's all laboured. Yes he scores goals in bundles at a two or three points in a season but that's not enough to warrant a starting spot over akpom or fletcher when hes back unless he hits a patch of form which he certainly is not in at the moment.
