Truthfully haven't got the time for Blackwell like I do for Warnock. Paddy Kenny podcast on Undr The Cosh sealed it for me, seemed to have torn down relationships and not really grasped how to manage people. Definitely bought into his own hype during his regular playoff flirtations in the late 2000s and it rubbed off on how he treated others.
But I have to say here that he's spoken with humility and with a sense of grace that not even really Warnock has on his way out of the club. Able to identify the strengths in the squad and the failures of the coaching set up he was part of. That in itself should rightfully get him a lot of respect. Wish him well, as I do any departing coach, have no doubt someone at this level will give him the nod in the near future as a No. 2.
