Kentucky Fried Movie, Lemon Popsicle et al

Stream of consciousness post, sorry!!

Just stumbled across a mention of Kentucky Fried Movie in an article and it reminded me of those days where a group of us used to go to Videoscope in Normanby and hire a VHS film to watch each weekend. I don't think I've seen the two titular movies since, but have downloaded them to watch (and be disappointed in!). I can remember hiring some fantastic (and not so fantastic) films like:

One Flew Over The Cuckoo's Nest
The Deerhunter
Southern Comfort (I really liked that one)
Porky's
Animal House
Airplane!
Life Of Brian
Apocalypse Now
Kentucky Fried Movie
Lemon Popsicle
Hot Bubblegum
The Blues Brothers (no idea I'd end up calling Chicago home!)
1941
Blazing Saddles
Meatballs
The Elephant Man
American Werewolf
History Of The World Part 1
Stripes

Anyone else spend 2 hours trying to choose a film to rent back in the day (and can anyone remember what the other video rental place in Normanby was called?)??!

Wasn't it called Video Classics? Used to be in the shop with the Minimarket.
 
Lemon Popsicle and Hot Bubblegum were absolutely dreadful.

When I first saw them when I was about 15 I was expecting something like Porkys. But It was some shyte Israeli pish.
