He has, just not two high profile ones at Sheff U, being McBurnie and Brewster. Both of those players have talent but the club overpaid for them. McBurnie has personal issues holding him back and Brewster has had injuries. Other than that his strikers have been fine at his previous clubs. Forss looks a good prospect and at a good fee.Wilder not got good form on buying forwards
Agree, he’s the modern day Ishmael Miller. Sh1teI'm obviously missing something with this lad. He's 24, be 25 by the end of the season. And he has 12 senior goals in his career.
His scoring record is worse than Akpom and by some margin.
I get that he's a beast and I'm sure his all round game is excellent. But usually a lot of fans would be moaning at the prospect of signing a non-scoring centre forward. It's certainly used a stick to beat plenty of our other forwards with over the years.
Yet every time he's mentioned on here (seems to be every window) everyone seems really keen to sign him. Is his all round game really that good? Must be.
good runs in the channels, decent pace, unbeleivable strength, brilliant back to goal, his protecting of the ball is right up there with the best CFs in the prem. But yes he doesnt't score enough. Put him alongside Forss though, and Forss would get 25Is his all round game really that good? Must be.
Amd on the end of Giles : Jones crosses he could score more .good runs in the channels, decent pace, unbeleivable strength, brilliant back to goal, his protecting of the ball is right up there with the best CFs in the prem. Yeah maybe, I'm not sure if he's any good attacking the 6 yard box which is where you need to be for crosses, he might be, I just don't know. He's a ver different player to the lad they just got rid of thoughAmd on the end of Giles : Jones crosses he could score more .
Good signing for Watford if he goes there
