I really liked him, he was tenacious, and covered the ground well in the very limited time I saw him, again the championship is played at breakneck speed and he just kept getting caught with the ball or had to rush his passes..a young player who needs to play regularly to improve..

I'd argue with need three. Two players for every position. Might be wrong but I don't think we see McCabe as a first team squad option (yet).

I’d keep him and loan him out tor the season to a lower champ / top league 1 / Scot prem/champ team, se how develops over a full season playing in English/British football. If he does, great; if he doesn’t then sell next summer.
