Kaly Sene

Taken from one boro:

New player laws mean the club can get in serious trouble if it freezes unwanted players out so you will see them training with the rest of the squad:

Under the landmark June 2026 agreement between FIFA and FIFPRO the practice of "freezing out" players is set to cease. Clubs that arbitrarily force players to train alone or exclude them from squads face strict sanctions, including transfer bans, and players are now entitled to full salary compensation if frozen out.

Interesting, I guess what we've done with Hamilton will become much more common and is already a loophole.

Strong opinions on a player who only came on in the 86th minute!
It was so so bad though!

I said something at the time like it's as if they have brought a bloke on out of the stands who's had a few pints. He was late to everything, his passing and timing looked impaired. Was he having some kind of medical episode?

I'd send him out on loan to a lesser league, where he has done reasonably well previously, and hope he recovers form to attract a permanent buyer and allow us to recoup some of the outlay.

What has actually gone on with Dieng not used by multiple managers and must be on a decent wage and not the worst keeper in the world seems a waste for himself and club. You would think it would be in the best interests of everyone to get him playing again it is a strange one for sure

Sene has ability, the scouts must have spotted it and then in his initial starts he left a positive impression. Seeing him later on it seems like he has lost his way,
If the jury's out on Sene then it is on Hellberg as well, he deteriorated under Hellbergs management and his coaches.

Not really. We played Wrexham at home Sene looked a lost soul when he started. Edwards was manager

Is that the match where he also started Burgzorg, Nypan and Whitaker up front, they all got subbed after 45, Sene lasted until 68. Sounds like he wasn't the only one who looked a lost soul that day.
With Edwards I have a feeling that he knew about the wolves interest, even before the previous guy got the sack and before it became public, Looking back at our performances in the lead up to him going , they became more erratic.

Thats by the by - you were using Sene's "drop off of form" as some kind of stick to beat Hellburg it appears - I was merely pointing out that he was struggling before Hellburg arrived.
