Thessaloniki in winter isn’t dissimilar in temperatures to around Middlesbrough, one of the reasons Micky Quinn left at the end of his career was the cold February weather was causing him problems with a long term back injury, he thought Greece was going to be warm all year round but Thessaloniki although protected by the sea is pretty close to some Greek ski resorts.

I used to think it was a myth. It really is far colder up north in winter. The amount of times I've gone back to Boro in Nov/Dec under prepared traveling up from the South Coast

, I was thinking of old London players signing for the Boro & instantly thought of one of my favourites in Peter Brine, though I have a soft spot for Ray Parlour, both have fond memories of the Boro & speak highly of the club, hoping Chub has similar experience
