Just seen this on Twitter - ranks the NE FAN bases

It's a potmess, that's what it is.

Middlesbrough is part of:
'The North East'
Tees Valley
North Yorkshire
The Borough of Middlesbrough
Teesside

Hartlepool suffers the same lack of regional clarification...they don't know where they're supposed to be either.

We are not and have never been part of the tees valley as it doesn’t exist.

It’s a made up brand by the gazette TDC to make Teesside sound better.

Where is the valley ???

The Tees Valley Combined Authority is an official administrative region.

Ben Houchen if the directly elected mayor of the Tees Valley.

It exists.

It is a relatively new name for an existing area, but every name is just made up to begin with.

Hartlepool and Darlington aren't traditionally seen as part of Teesside, so the name covers them too.
