Just Seen the Covid 2nd Wave Projections

Don’t get why you keep mentioning people wanting to watch football. If they can delivery it safely which is what they intend to do then what is so bad about it? Football is a release for a lot of people , me included. Aslong as it is done safely and I carry on my life how I have being , following the guidelines my conscience will be clear. It is awful what is happening on a daily basis but any sign of hope and normality is a good sign surely
Couldn't agree more Block, no offence to Erimus but it seems like he takes not liking football like a badge of honour on here and can't let a day go by without broadcasting how he doesn't watch or like football.

2nd & 3rd division are professionals

I don't really care how many millions can't wait for souless football to start, I'm not intetested in the slightest, just accept that other people have opinions that differ to yours, I've not once asked why you want to watch souless games because that I your choice
If I had said on any of my that no one is interested in meaningless matches then yes come back at me but as I have continually said, I find matches meaningless then that is my opinion & just accept it rather than continue posting back
Enjoy the matches when they come on though

you asked about Stockton etc. The third division voted for the season to end, hence why it ended. The reason is the financial aspect and that they wouldn’t have the same health and safety measures as premier league and championship level football. Yes I am entitled to my opinion I just don’t like seeing people judging people Cos they want football back , as I say If safely delivered which looks to be the case. It might be soulless to some people but it’s a release and excitement for lots too.

Absolutely and believe it or not it is a football forum, so I don’t get what’s wrong with people wanting football back. The reason I come on here is Cos I love boro and I love football. I don’t come on here to talk about Dominic Cummings.

I'm not sure that putting payments "on hold" is going to do much good.

I presume its to help those that can not fund testing now. At the end of the day its a debt to be paid at some point and unplanned for, £200K to a club like say Barnsley, Charlton for example means a lot more than to a Leeds or West Brom. Has anything been disclosed about the EFL payments and their amount to each club? For example will they be equal or means tested in some kind of way?

Well, yes, that's the way I read it. If they can't afford it now, I don't see how deferring it is really going to help.

No... Clearly a pensioner who's happy and doesn't need to earn money the next 30 years and screw the young who have done nothing wrong and are basically unaffected? See we can both play that game.

I’m curious what age-range you consider ‘young’ Alvez?
I ask because I only know 2 people who have had covid, and one was early 30s, the other mid 30s, which I consider young.
Both of them ended up in hospital on oxygen. Thankfully, they were both discharged and are fine now, but I think age is still giving people a false sense of security with this disease.

parnabyscrosses, I respect your opinion & I have no issues with what your saying, I certainly wouldn't be asking why

That's his choice but regardless of liking football as a guard of honour people have got to accept that we don't all agree with such topics & this board is here for everyone opinions, as I rightly pointed out, if I said no one in their right mind woukd watch non support then people can have a go back, because I said it from my point of view then people should respect
My reference regarding Cummings was to point out that too much politics is being posted on here yet he sees fit to ask me why I continually post meaningful matches, which as I keep saying & will continue to say, they are meaningful, souless football, end of

Lockdowns over, it's been over for weeks. Get rid of that furlough and see how quickly people get back to work.
So has the recovery in case you hadn't noticed. Number of cases staying high, number of deaths also staying high .

Still it's only people dying eh?

Who is judging anyone, why excagerate to highlight something, where have I once judged you
If you love football so much then fine, have I asked you to explain why you like to follow non supporter matches, have I asked you whyvyouvthink the PL should restart, find it strange because you don't agree with me you have to add something that wasn't there

And I will continue to say, souless but bet better than nothing which for me is the alternative. I don’t even get why your so bothered, no ones gonna make you watch it.

I can’t wait until it’s all back to normal being back to the stadium but this will do until then if delivered safely. Looking forward to seeing the boro play again even under different surroundings. Will be interesting to see

your first post said yet people see it ok to have their football fix even though people are dying, to me that is judgemental as you think I would prefer to watch football even if people are dying. I have said all along if delivered safely. Which it will be.

Also never ever heard the term non supporter matches, I just call it football.

So why are you bothered that I'm bothered, if it offends you so much what I wrote then just skip by
I too will be glad when normal football is back & normality has resumed that means the important things in my life are there for me
Next time you see a thread from erimus74 just bypass then you won't need to be upset, or offended

I'm not convinced it will be delivered safely. They're all going to be on TV, which will encourage people to congregate and watch.....

Nah I will comment if I see a reason too comment just like I do on any other topic on the board thanks. If I disagree with you I I will let you know in a respectful manner and back up my point like I have done today. And If I agree with you which I have done on other matters in the past I will comment then aswell.

Well we will see. If that is the case and more lives are at risk then it will have to be investigated to see if it’s safe to continue.

I know a few in their 30s had it... Absolutely fine.. guess your mates must have been in the 0.5% of people in that age category that need further assistance which is very unfortunate

One point, I can't understand how anyone will want to watch a 🤣

Quite possibly. Anyway, up to what age do you consider ‘young’ ? Up to what age do you think people should be able to crack on? Do you think they should be out there working if they are in their 20s but are obese, or have diabetes? Or have a mild autoimmune disease that doesn’t put them on the shielding list? It’s quite complicated.

Obviously a few people in their 30s dying is acceptable to some.....
