we aren't a top 6 side, but we have a top 6 squad being mismanaged. Not a chance we are a top six side. If we can creep into the top half of the table that's the level this team are at.

No, he's gash, get rid. 3 championship promotions in the last 25 years doesn't make him specialYou lot wrote him off last time.....are you making the same mistake again ?
through a quirk of fixtures....we've played most of the bottom half teams, now he has to start winning against top half teams, do I have to remind you how badly he has performed against top half teams since he arrived at Boro? He's barely won a game against any of themApart from being in 6th spot this time last week...
agreed, if organised right, with some more appropriate tactics, a bit more possession based, and a manager that gives them confidence then we could climb the table....I just don't think warnock has it in him to achieve that.Great analysis like always Mart. I jumped ship after Hull, that was a team in meltdown but am a little bit back on board now. Tonight was just sloppy but we weren’t that awful.
bar the top 3 this is a very poor league. We have a couple of players that played champs league last year, players brought through some top notch academies, and players that have achieved promotion at this level. We have some honest hard working players too. We have enough to make 6th, 5th at a push, not higher though, even with a better manager. We certainly have a squad that should be able to beat top half teams occasionally rather than only bottom half teams.I respectfully disagree on this @BoroMart, can't see the same levels of quality, mentality and consistency as the 14/15 & 15/16 Squads.
yes, they probably will be.We are not a top six side. Unless this is a particularly awful season.
Whoever goes up through the play offs will be cannon fodder in that case.

well I 'm not ready to call that one out on you just yet........I was saving it until we get battered by West Brom, then I'll say "this aged well"Bookmarked for future reference
Tav and McNair have indisputably played their best football at the club under Warnock and have shown in that time they do have the potential to play at a higher level than the Championship. Warnock isn't necessarily the issue, him prematurely announcing retirement is. Players have downed tools worrying about their own futures (as anyone would under a new and unfamiliar boss) and there's no real room for Warnock to recover that. Way to deal with it is to ensure we have a replacement lined up and available to the squad whilst Warnock is still managing it, to allow for a comfortable transition period whilst the players can still feel at ease and perform to their natural ability.
Always said it, he's ineffective playing in midfield. Game passed him by last night.I’ve said it many times but we regularly lose out in our midfield 3 torte opposition. While Jonny Howson continues to pull on a shirt and the armband this team will go nowhere, the lad has been poor overall since monk signed him, the last said about tav and crooks tonight the better too, central midfield still needs sorting, oh what I’d give for a mustoe, ince or boateng in there now
And 8 teams in-between. You do know the other teams can also win their next game?3 points off the playoffs
By January we will be firmly mid table with no prospect of the play offs or relegation. There would be no need to buy any players and pointless. For those backing him
what’s the point if he’s going in the summer anyway. Why waste a window on warnock type players.
I wouldn't be so sure about that. His quotes from yesterday's Gazette.I highly doubt we'll be signing any Warnock type players in January. Any recruitment will be done firmly with the next manager in mind.
