Just heard some rather disturbing news

There were hundreds outside a London hospital (St. Thomas’s I think) chanting it was all a hoax not long back ..... deranged does not cut it.
As bear rightly says, personal stories when you see or hear them ram home the devastation this disease brings. I would love 5 mins in a room (socially distanced naturally) with these idiots to vent my spleen at them. My heart goes out to block21’s sisters friend and her family. This disease is evolving and killing younger people and many of those that survive have a heavy and tough calling card left imprinted on their bodies for life by this disease.

Please, please think of others, not just yourself folks, many on here do already, that is clear, thank you to all that do.
Its up to all of us to look after and protect each other.
There is such as thing as "society".

You don't have to look any further than the actor Layrence Fox, wearing a badge, having parties etc, that shows how inconsiderate & selfish some people are
Well I’ve no doubt he’s an absolute tool but I didn’t think he was claiming it didn’t exist.

Anyway, probably not the right thread for it. Terribly sad news for this family.

That’s heartbreaking ☹️ It’s not an isolated story either, unfortunately. Somebody in the company I work for lost his Mam, Dad and sister all in within the space of a week. How do people recover from that?

These idiots who believe it’s all a hoax should be offered the chance to partake in medical challenge trials, to be infected with it for research purposes. If it’s a hoax, they’ll be able to prove that in the trial, by nobody becoming ill/hospitalised/dying. They could then show the world it’s not real, with the results of the trial.....Wonder how many of them would have the courage of their conviction if that was an option?

* the results of the trial are already known, of course, by anybody with an ounce of awareness or intelligence. Illness, hospitalisations and deaths.

One of my little sisters friends Mam and grandad died of covid yesterday on the same day and her nana died of covid in October and she doesn’t see her dad or his side of the family so now she only has her auntie to look after her. Really sad and just shows what a brutal disease covid really is.

Such sad news , the poor little girl :(
That's very sad news. Sorry to hear that.

So incredibly sad. Some terrible stories coming out.

I was moved by a report yesterday on BBC news where a porter was interviewed after returning a bed just after his wife had died from covid.
