To my sister and brother in law’s house in Kensington.
We were outclassed on the pitch. We gave them too much respect and I think the occasion got to us. We are down to the bare bones and it was always going to be a struggle. Far too many mistakes just made the improbable, impossible. Maybe we should’ve gone route one and backs to the wall but fair play to Carrick and co for sticking to their system and beliefs.
Fans were fabulous, utterly brilliant. It’s been a long time since I’ve sang like that. Just class.
Time to draw a line under it and move on. We can have a rest and get some players back. Then we focus on getting back to winning ways against the mackems. I think it’s the perfect game for us and I can’t wait already.
