Just found this fact and I found it surprising......

2.5% is used for golf courses, park, sports field etc.
I am not making any sort of statement- just saying I am surprised at this because I thought that because of our population growth there would have been more land needed for housing.

I think the %age of housing land use is higher in England, as the UK considers large undeveloped areas in Scotland and Wales.

Based on the report for England in 2018 while the land use for residential housing was 1.1% this did not include residential gardens which adds another 4.8%
