Just drove past a packed Preston Park

But that wasn't what I asked and what you keep avoiding! Do you condemn people for not socially distancing and meeting up with people they shouldn't?
8 posts up I said to you I’m fine with social distancing and people should meet who they can under the current rules. Do I think people should socially distance at the moment? Yes. Do I think people should limit the people they meet? Yes . I’m not sure how that is avoiding your question on social distancing and meeting people.

Jim I’m certainly not saying theres anything wrong with that scenario detailed above . My concern is people electing not to be that thoughtful but families shoe horning themselves into areas where learned scientists are saying it’s dangerous such as car parks and refreshment areas .
Surely if Whittey and co were concerned about car parks they would simply shut them?

Will you accept were not saying it’s illegal . Sadly many are going to not follow the pleas and guidance from the govt . Hordes are going to abuse it and likely cause a new wave . Hope to God I’m wrong

But as stated earlier NOT ALL are doing that , some go & exercise , then go home with no interaction at all with people

Yes Benji its Obvious most will be compliant but all it takes is a few rotten eggs and we’re right back in the proverbial

Yes I will accept you are not saying it’s illegal (I assume you mean going to the park in a car). I get the feeling that you rather wish it was though?

Preston Park has changed a hell of a lot in the last 20 years
I’m not going to bother anymore i mean when was an ice cream parlour an essential shop . I accept I’m ******* in the wind so wiping my hands and good luck all .

What a depressing read the first page is

visiting the beach or the park is allowed. None of you know how far people travelled to visit. Give it a bloody rest, god forbid people think about their mental well-being or having some time getting some vitamin d whilst operating within the law
Its funny that a lot of people who moan about lots of people being out and about know that there's lots of people out and about because they themselves are out and about. The hypocrisy is staggering.

I do have kids, and yes they do get a bit miffed about not being able to see their friends or cousins, but they also understand that if we stick to the rules it will mean that they can see them sooner. There is literally no excuse for driving somewhere to then go for a walk.
The guidance is so vague that no one knows if they can drive to go for a walk or not. But I can see no reason as to why that would be a problem. What about those who don’t live close to parks or suitable walking places, are they expected to just stay in for a year?
I live in a small village with no park, one road in and out with about 1/2 mile of footpaths. The usual walking routes have been practically under water for the last 4 month, expect this is the case for more rural villages around the north east. Impossible for anyone living here to get out for some proper exercise without driving somewhere.

My thoughts would be that is York I think and a shed load of young uns are breaking the rules by meeting up by the river

York was really busy yesterday by the river near Rowntree Park yet the park itself was all locked up with no access yet there were still a number of teenagers using the skate park which the notice said was closed until the 29th March

Hundreds of young people (teenagers/early 20s students maybe) just either sat on the grass or on the riverbank (not really exercising is it?)

Stick them in the gallows and have folk older than them throw sponges at them.
You seem to have an ageist agenda Randy which I suppose is not untypical of the younger generation. Have to say I didn't think that particular trait would find its way onto this forum under these circumstances. All a bit disappointing really.
