Just drove past a packed Preston Park

Just because he broke the rules doesn’t mean the rest of us should do it
The fact that he set the rules. And he was defended by every single member of the cabinet for doing so kind of does. Not Cummings but the people that defended him are elected representatives of us, the people. Therefore if they say its ok to break their rules. It must be, surely?

No because people would have taken things more seriously if they could see the repercussions.

Once Cummings was let off, lots of people thought why should I follow the rules. He didn't.
The Cummins saga was a big fail by him and the government for not sacking him. But using that as a reason for not following the guidelines is making excuses. There were many people who were doing what the hell they liked and we all know it.

There weren’t enough. There will always be law breakers but when those that introduce the laws defend them being broken, it makes sense many more people would think “if it’s alright for them” no question

It wasn't a law that was broken but a guideline. That said he was stupid and paid the price and the government went down in a lot of peoples estimation. But like I said, it's not a get out to use it as an excuse.

No, but surely you can see how more people decided to break the rules when you see those in charge defending rule breakers. Surely you can understand the human psyche enough to realise it’s legitimising breaking the rules. It’s certain it’s lead to more people breaking the rules than would have otherwise

It was definitely a factor, either we're all in it together or we look after ourselves. The government and Cummins said that anyone would put their family first. Well that's what some people have done.

I've spoken to loads of people that have sent their children back to school even though they aren't key workers, because 'its not good for their child to be at home'. This is against government guidance but things like this are a result of the Cummins situation.

Gosh is this thread still going on, well I suppose everyone’s bored stuck at home.

Guess some people like to finger point, and need to play a blame game.

Sad.

anyone off to Preston Park later?

No It's sad that a lot of people have died because of this pandemic. It's sad this pandemic has gone on longer than it should have. And yes it's sad that we are all trying to make sense of why when all our lives have been so badly effected and will continue to be for a long time.

No but I'm going to for a cruise on the tees without masks with 3 mates

If the police stop me I will say I'm at work

Brilliant to see isn't it, people finally reclaiming their lives despite the non stop misery piled on by the MSM. Hancock already talking about tiers in June despite a vaccine. This only ends when we say it ends.
What's MSM?
