Just been invited to a street party

We're also having a street party on Friday to celebrate VE 75, we'll be doing the same as the people in TS3 who were enjoying their community, by playing games and yes even having barbies, all in their own gardens. And if 9 police vehicles come tearing down the road all blues and twos, I'm sure the whole estate will be out looking to see what's going on, you never know, the police may even manage to find 2, TWO, thats 2, people to fine for breaking the social distancing rules, after all 9 police vehicles on full lights and sirens will attract even the worst of people, just like they did in Brambles Farm, maybe the Gazette will even turn up with their Mayor Preston agenda and turn a small problem into a mountain. Demonisation of people in council estates have gone on for years, sadly, people who demonise have managed to get themselves elected.

In the past I’ve lived in brambles farm for years. It’s no coincidence that TS3 has the highest fatality rate in the area.
Unfortunately a lot of people in the area have not adhered to social distancing.
I certainly don’t think it’s about demonising people. Making a point maybe, but not demonising.

I think there’s a picnic on the front gardens organised for our estate on Friday, there’s a communal green round the corner that apparently some residents are supposedly meeting on, not sure how that holds up to Social Distancing guidelines etc, although we’ll be stationed on the front lawn, my Mrs is at work on Friday but has a comprehensive list of picnicking wants so looks like I’ll be baking tonight.

We just received this invite through the letterbox from the kids who live opposite us. I have never been one to do out like this but I am looking forward to Friday. What a great idea.

I hope you can read our invite.

similar thing happening up Cricket Lane area. Flyer through door inviting everyone to celebrate VE Day.

There's one on here too, organised after last week's street bingo, which is on again tonight. Ours starts at 4 too, bunting, balloons, tables in gardens, music and a few beverages.

Great weather forecast for it too.

The bank holiday has been carried over from the workers celebration of May 1st so a don't forget an extra touch of red.

The day went exceptionally well and ended with two close neighbours sat in our front garden keeping our social distancing.

For one moment everything felt ok in the world. If only.

Crumpets and tea before bed. I remember when it was the other way round.
Norman should that ever bestow me one nightime in these times there’ll be a red arrows fly past above my bedroom
