Josh Coburn

he is a natural goalscorer. at every level so far he has just kept scoring.

14 in 30 for the u18s (24 starts)
5 in 8 for the u23s (5 starts)
2 in 6 for the first team (0 starts)

with Calum Kavanagh and Sonny Finch coming through as well we might actually have more than 1 decent Academy forward.

I have very high hopes for Kavanagh from what I’ve seen and heard.

yep. by all accounts the top clubs were interested in him. he's breezed through u18s and should be a regular for the u23s this season.
He scored for the U23s in our last match, could be worth a place on the bench for the 1st team.

David Currie made a big impact when he first came into the Boro team - did he come from Non League or Youth team?

Stephen Bell also made a big impact in his first season, he was defo from the youth team.

Alan Kernaghan was a forward initially and from the youth team - he may have scored on his debut in March 1985 against Sheff United.

Luke Williams I remember his scoring against MU in the FAC, but not many in the league. I was harder fro him because we were in the Premier League when he broke through.

Alan Kernaghan made his debut on Feb 9th 1985 Redwurzel against Notts County.
The debut goal was against Sheffield Utd but it was his 6th game for Boro.
In his 7th game he scored the winner which was an own goal at The Valley which Boro lost 0-1. That was his lot for that season. 1 for, 1 against.

without going overboard hes done well ,but let us not kid ourselves hes a readymade world beater as he isnt!!!!!!!!!yet, very promising tho
