Jose Mourinho sacked

Did they do it before the League Cup final because I'd Spurs win it would look bad sacking someone who'd just won a trophy?
Maybe.

Then again, they probably have just as much chance of winning it without him looking at their recent form and the way he's been handling his players and the press.

Looks to me like he lost the dressing room a long time ago...

He's perfecting his methods:

1) comes in to a club that only needs a bit of tweaking on the pitch
2) tells the media there is much to do, and that the star players don't work for the team and have poor attitude
3) singles out a high earner coming back from injury and questions their ability, desire, life choices etc, either hounding them out of the club, or taking away a part of their soul
4) start losing games, continue blaming players
5) kick up a training ground stink and make it easier to be paid off

This usually takes 3 years but he's got it down to 18 months, so fair enough, well done. His financial yield is impressive.

Boro's NW fans might be upset, some Spurs fans are suggesting he could replace JM to enable them to maintain their brand of entertaining football. Screenshot_20210419-120740~2.png

It had been coming, he lost to Dinamo Zagreb in the Europa ffs.

That's BIG 6 Spursenham Hotspot losing to a Croatian league team btw. Last won the doemestic league in 1961 but apparently a mahoooosive ESL club.

So Tottenham sack Mourinho six days before a cup final and we’re supposed to believe that his sacking is nothing to do with the Super League? They want a caretaker in charge for a cup final over JOSE MOURINHO!? Say what you want about him.. he wins most of his finals.

Do we genuinely believe that he wouldn't allow training to go ahead because of this ESL proposal so Spurs sacked him?

They'll have had this planned. They'll have had to consult contracts, lawyers, etc.

No chance they sacked him because of this training ground incident (that's if it even actually happened...)
If they did they'd be going down the gross misconduct route and not giving him a £15m pay off.

As long as its the 'sh1thouse 12' he's taking millions out of, long may it continue. Juventus next.

Chelsea x 2
Real Madrid
Man United
Spurs

He'll def get another chance to do it to Inter as well. Missed out the first time I think?

Exactly

Can't believe some fell for it.

He was binned because of results....and it's hard to argue against it looking at their form since Nov? Dec?....not to mention murmurs of players unhappy/unrest with Jose behind the scenes...something that seems to follow him everywhere he goes.

Indeed but the timing of it did mean it was inevitable some would assume it was super league related.

The was an piece in the Athletic about him recently, in which it said that the Chelsea hierarchy noticed a discernable difference in him between his two periods as manager. It speculated that his time in Madrid made him insular and defensive in nature.

I remember reading that.

I got to agree. there's a big difference between the Jose in charge of Chelsea first time around and Inter Milan, compared to the Jose in charge of Real Madrid, Chelsea second stint, Utd & Spurs.

Even though he won trophies at Madrid, I think his time there was burned because of the fact Pep & Barcelona more often than not got the better of him and Real Madrid, whilst playing much, much better football....and his main aim at Real Madrid was clearly to deliver the CL in which he ultimately failed to win.

I think since then he's been a shadow of his former self and his methods and ways just aren't as effective nowadays.

I don't see a top English club taking him on anytime soon. I think he'll have to go back abroad to get a big job....that's assuming a big club gives him another opportunity.

Yeah, since Real in 2012 he's only won one title?
