Jones on the left?

The left is a problem for us, especially with whoever playing there failing to provide cover for our full back.

Jones is great at tracking back and obviously provides a threat going forward.

Doak on the right, Jones on the left. Could it work?
If McGree is still not fit to start, il like to see it given a game or two.

Jones is a much better player when he has space to run into, all this low block ***** we are runing into this season is providing a problem for him

Cant see it happening myself. That said it would probably be a good thing as his final ball with his left peg cant be any worse than what he is providing with his right. Joking aside I think he will persist with the options he has been trying there.

Not for me and it's concerning that this is what we are turning to. It just shows a lack of genuine options in that position.
When McGree is out there's no obvious replacement. Azaz and Burgzorg don't really look like left sided players.

Dijiksteel at left back, he is still relatively match sharp after preseason and the first few matches at the start he has played, the bad performances come when he returns after an extended time away from the first team. On form he is our best full back, him and Burgzorg could possibly form a good partnership down that side.

Jones and Dijksteel playing on the left hand side, wow.

They are probably the last 2 players in the squad i would pick to play on their wrong sides of the pitch.

Sometimes, they struggle to do even the simplest things with their correct feet.

Im not bothered about Jones on the left side, and yes Dijiksteel does fail to do simple things, you will find its usually after extended times away from the 1st team, also on form he can do top class play with his left foot like the goal at Leeds in the cup.

I think he made his debut on the left. Sam Foralin played on the right and Jones came on as a late sub on the left wing. For me he looked the better player that day. Turns out he was!

At Craven Cottage. An assist for Bola, to draw level. In any case, you don't have to 5 left-footed players.

I’d like to try if but you are correct of course there seems to be very little options for that position if Riley is out, which is a lot!

Yes please. It’s got to be worth a try.

Given that Doak is all left foot I don't understand why he's been pigeon-holed into being a right winger, especially as he's only 18.

The 3 behind the striker should all be able to switch between themselves, would keep the opposition defence on their toes.

I’ve wanted to see Jones on the left for a long time. Really convinced it would be his best position.

I believe it would be very problematic for opposition full backs, who’d be stuck between a rock and a hard place of:

1. Show him onto the outside whereby he will almost certainly beat them for pace and get to the byline.

2. Show him inside onto his stronger foot.

I think he’d go past him man constantly as which ever option they offered him, he’d take it and would beat them more often than not.
