Has been murdered apparently. Good riddance if true.

But I still just think about what happened to that poor little boy and the lifetime of torture his family have had to endure.

It's always a very difficult topic as it was an absolutely heinous crime and poor Jamie Bulger was denied the chance of life beyond being a toddler and his family have, and continue to experience hell.

What I find really difficult is to reconcile how a 10 year old, a child by virtually any measure, can carry out such an appalling and cold blooded murder.

And that's where its a tough one for me because whilst there was never any question of their guilt they were 10 years old. Children, that's all. And it's still as horrifying to this day.

Nothing on the Internet at the minute Rico. Where did you see this.
It's all over Twitter though nothing confirmed. Also seems to be trending that they've at long last identified the Zodiac Killer too, though I haven't looked into that as of yet.

Far from 100% re Zodiac - interesting nonetheless!

I was unsure about posting this as, it is still just a rumour, but also it’s an emotional subject. As I have said what happened to that poor boy is incomprehensible, and whilst I agree the culprits of that heinous crime deserve to suffer, but Laughing is right in that as a civilised society we have to be better than that.

I think the Norwegians have it right…

Though that’s easy fir me to say when it’s not my child who has been murdered.

Oh my god Twitter is a pretty toxic place on a good day - I just had a quick look and some of the comments :-(

What they did to that poor little lad shouldn’t have happened in a civilised society either , so I stand by what I said 100%
A member for over a year and yet only 12 posts, hes another horse out of the stable

I have always wondered what the home life must have been like for Venables and Thompson to turn them into killers at the age of 10 years of age.

Prior to retiring, I worked in a behaviour unit with 11 - 16 year olds and would openly state that we worked with the wrong people. We could put all kinds of strategies in place for the students and would see huge changes in their behaviour through the school term. After the half term or weekend, we would be back to square one.

There is a person-centred counselling book by Mearns and Thorn and every parent should be made to read it.
