Jokanovic appointed

I imagine he would want a few quid. Just see how much he spends as to how realistic he ever was for us (apparently interviewed)

I can see him spending 20-30mil. Although he has plenty of decent champo players. I imagine Brewster / McBurnie / Mcgoldrick and Sharp have plenty of goals in them at this level. I doubt any prem clubs will want them.

To think we interviewed him and then proceeded to employ the outstanding candidate.
I am not convinced we did interview him, wasn’t there a lot of ‘sky sports news understands’ type links rather than actual confirmation? I might be wrong mind. I remember being hopeful till i realised after scouring the world Gibbo did his best Jack Nicholson impression at the door with his ‘Here’s Johnny’ reveal.

If we did interview him rather than merely make an enquiry, I suspect his £££ expectations didn’t quite align with SG’s 🤔

His demands are massive, there's a reason he was managing in Saudi Arabia.

West Brom baulked at them last time they were down and looked elsewhere.

We probably did too.

I think Gibson met him a couple of times didn't he, but he wanted more money for players than was available and he wanted a new coaching staff too, or something like that.

I don't think he's a good appointment for them. One of their big strengths is getting the crowd up, going direct and pressurising the opposition. Don't see that from him.

its certainly a swing for the fences from Sheff Utd. It will either be a huge success at a huge cost but with big rewards, or it will be a huge disaster that sets the club back a decade or so and could see a Hull or Bolton type slide down the leagues.

I dont really care either way to be fair. They are not a club I have any real positive or negative vibes about.

I'm not sure that Sheff Utd have many players that can play the Jokanovic way, they lack the technical ability. Remember half this team were in the 3rd Tier 3 or 4 seasons ago. It'll need a large overhaul of players to play his way and that will be difficult to achieve.

I spotted this a couple of days ago and thought it was a good appointment by Sheffield Utd, but then Warnock certainly has a good Championship promotion record and is possibly more clued up on today's players.
Give Neil another season, he'll come up trumps.
