Sparked outrage and rightly so.

Elsie, who to manage her finances now by eating only one meal a day and uses her free bus pass to ride the bus all day, rather than use energy by being at home - but his response raised eyebrows.

“Just to remind you that the 24 hour freedom bus pass was something that I introduced," Johnson said, in a comment that immediately sparked anger on social media.

“Marvellous, so Elsie should be grateful to you for her bus pass!” Susanna Reid said, while furious commentators on Twitter said the remark was "disgusting" and a demonstration of how "out of touch" the PM is with the realities of struggling people.


Now. Don’t get me wrong in any way at all – because Ukraine are suffering badly….BUT THIS EFFING GOVERNMENT has something to say almost DAILY in terms of funds for Ukraine and/or comments about verbal support – YET absolutely (or virtually) nothing about the Cost of living crisis for weeks from this EVIL TORY GOVERNMENT.

Its incredible. They are falling over themselves to escalate this war (especially Truss) yet UK people are suffering with energy bills (and small Businesses) and they don’t give an absolute shiote.
 
They are going to build a nuclear power reactor once a year for 8 years, so Elsie can enjoy the benefits of free bus travel to Sizewell to be one of the first to see the current one under construction. By cooking only one meal a day, it will also give her more time for her travelling and sightseeing, what a lucky lady Elsie is.
 
Anyone would think they are happy to big up / escalate and elongate the war so their Oil company mates can make massive profits by raising prices due to the fuel shortages caused by sanctions on Russian oil and gas…….BP? Not to mention arms manufacture/ dealers etc etc and so on. Hmmm, is there a link. 🤔

I genuinely don’t know anymore but I wouldn’t put it past the current set of callous rulers we have in this world. The rich get richer etc etc

I had the start of the interview on as I was getting the kid ready for school and was only half listening .. Did I hear right that Susannah Reid had to tell our sitting PM, before starting, that anything he says would be fact checked?
 
All the tales of deprevation wash over the sack of sh ite and don't register one iota.....he knows he's gonna be fact checked but obviously dosent care in the slightest, he just can't stop lying..." I introduced the freedom pass,". NO YOU FKN DIDNT 😡

4.9 billion in Quarter 1. x4 = 20billion thereabouts which would massively support our own citizens!!!!

And because she is only having one meal a day she is also cutting down on her waste which has a positive impact on the environment and helps us achieve our climate change pledges.

We were told that there wasn't enough money in this country now suddenly we have millions to support Ukraine. Our own soldiers are sleeping on the streets, and pensioners counting their pennies to try to keep warm. Food banks have never been as popular.

Millions spent on weapons and we are desperately trying to be seen as world leaders in this conflict. Why? for vanity that's why. Yet we cannot lead our own country and people safely. Lots of Ukraine flags flying in gardens, and from cars. No flags of the Muslim countries we have carpet bombed before though, along with the Americans. Innocent children also perished but we can conveniently forget that because it doesn't suit the narrative our media wish us to follow.

We are reportedly spending £500,000 a day to keep useless unused PPE in storage. There must be dosh - trouble is unless it goes into the pockets of their chums they don't want to spend it.
 
a) we wouldn't need to ask for a windfall tax against greedy energy companies, if the Tories hadn't nationalised our power and allowed foreign companies to buy them.
b) if we hadn't sold the them off, we could have ensured that people paid cost + investment needs, to ensure the future needs were protected
c) the economic issue we face are all the makings of tory governments
d) we've had a decade of austerity to insulate the bankers from the cost of their failure to do good governance, now we are expected to have years of paying to protect the energy companies from poor governance. This is being enforced on us by the government
e) fear of inflation, it's already here and a result of this governments fiscal failure
f) his claims of honesty failed at the answer to that very question

It was an absolute car crash of an interview, appalling attempts to bluster which SR had to continually stamp down on. The fact he went on ITV for the first time in 5 years and got such a tough time, means the tories will go back to avoiding it sadly.
