Johnson Snr gets his 2nd jab

If he was given an appointment for three weeks hence when he received his first injection and the policy subsequently changed then I don't have a problem with it. I've heard a few similar on the wireless these past couple of days. What I do have a problem with is people who are barely 80 getting one when plenty of over-90s haven't heard anything yet.

Just took my 93yr old Dad to get his second jab at Jimmy Cook's. Very happy to receive it. First jab 18/12 so exactly three weeks later, apparently he may feel a little unwell after this one (he was fine after the first)

Talking to a close relative who is a nurse (she gets her second jab today) it was easier to go ahead with the second jabs than the administration of cancelling and rebooking. Which seems fair enough.

Um you do realise everyone who got the jab before they changed the date is getting 2nd one after 3 weeks! As I know some over 80s here who are getting their 2nd
not where I am, appts cancelled and rearranged. There is local discretion as mentioned in the article, dependent on availability of staff, amount of vaccine and numbers in the categories presumably (and who you know).

My dad was due his second last Saturday, when I called to check they said it would still be going ahead.

However I had to cancel as he was isolating having contracted Covid in hospital on a non related issue o_O

Thankfully he had had his first as I'm sure that is what has kept his symptoms to fairly minor in comparison.

But as I say lots of places did/are proceeding with planned 2nd vaccines .......... non-story.
