Johnson’s whataboutery over Priti Patel

I don’t if any of you saw PMs questions today but his main defence of Patel seemed to be that there had been cases of bullying in the Labour Party in the past. Funny how everything, even bullying in his own party, turns out to actually be Labour’s fault 🤡

I think he’s probably fed up with the opposition not really doing anything except criticising his party rather than developing some policies which may improve their own support. Seems all labour and the media do is look for villains - first it was Boris, then Cummings, now Patel. It’s so schoolyard it’s hard to believe these people are supposedly the cream of the crop.

"opposition not really doing anything except criticising his party"

And what do you think they should be doing?

You're not doing very well, here, are you?

Well not criticising for the sake of it ! They agree on nothing in principle. Doesn’t matter what they actually think - they have been rewarded by the electorate accordingly.

Opposition opposing the sitting govt?! Shock horror. Johnson gets criticism because he's been poor/awful.

Also how can they develop policies during a leadership election?!

You can try and deflect but you look as idiotic as him.

why did they not develop policies before now then they may not have needed a leadership election.

And what has this go to do with Boris Johnson and Priti Crapateverything?

Edit - ah, I got it, the thread's about whataboutery. You win.

“Priti Crapateverything” I can see I’m going to have an unbiased objective conversation with you.

Aren't the accusations they are talking about from a civil servant who quit? Not Labour generated. I'm sure if Labour were in power and a top civil servant felt they had to resign due to bullying from a minister the Tories in opposition wouldn't mention it?

Oddly none of these avowed patriots seem to question what a proven traitor is doing in government at all?

There is no hope for the country when you are arguing with the wilfully blind.

For some real whataboutary....

How did the tory party behave towards the speaker Berkow over the unfounded bullying complaints against him?

They forced him out and refused him a knighthood where as theyve drawn the wagons in a circle around serial bullier patel...

Speaks volumes about the party that is supposed to set an example to the country...

Bullying....ffs. She's probably just balled out a few useless cnuts and told the lazy, incompetent fcukers in the civil service to actually pull their fingers out and do their jobs. How would these pussy's survive in the real world in the private sector ? Snowflake Britain !

As for Sir Philip Rutnam 'Sir Calamity' as he was known. Read up about him and Windrush. The man is an absolute penis who deserves a goo kicking never mind "bullying".

"Then, just like now, he oversaw a culture of politicised leaks and egotistical briefing from the department and has managed to avoid taking any responsibility or face any consequence for the Windrush scandal, instead staying in the role he gets paid more than the Prime Minister for, and throwing his deputy and others under the bus.'

I think Starmer is going to make mincemeat of Johnson during PMQs - really looking forward to it personally 👍🏻

I hope you are right, Corbyn was, in my opinion, far too ‘decent’ in his approach. I want the new Labour leader to get stuck in to fatty Johnson where it really hurts and his team to relentlessly attack the Tories day after day. It’s time for Labour to become the nasty party. Never mind all this levelling up bull****, the Tory record since 2010 and the new unspoken policy of ‘vote Tory and we will give you some money’ needs to be run into the ground.
